LIFE AT NID
CO-CURRICULARS
Leadership has been an important part of my learning journey from collaborating with teams in earlier projects to taking on broader responsibilities at NID. With a focus on creating meaningful campus experiences, I currently serve as the Student Body Head-Coordinator at NID Gandhinagar, leading the Gandhinagar Student Activity Council (GSAC).
Among several college engagement initiatives I’ve planned and executed, one of the most memorable was NID Gandhinagar’s first-ever Garba Night “Jalso” a vibrant celebration that united creativity, culture, and community spirit across the campus.
Creating meaningful experiences that connect people, celebrate culture, and inspire collaboration.
This experience reinforced my belief that leadership is not just about direction but also connection aligning diverse perspectives toward a shared vision. Managing large-scale events like “Jalso” taught me how to blend creativity with structure, from coordinating cross-functional student teams and negotiating with vendors to handling logistics, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
Each challenge deepened my understanding of how design thinking and empathy can transform simple gatherings into experiences that foster belonging and community pride. It strengthened my ability to lead with clarity, adapt under pressure, and create spaces where collaboration thrives.
